About this site
Hello!
This is Sansu the Cat. I've been blogging about 12 years now. First on Blogger, then Medium, and now Ghost. I tend to blog about a variety of subjects, such as politics, video games, literature, and Japanese pop culture. I'm also an ex-member of the controversial Unification Church, so I'll occassionally write about that, too. Also, look out for my yearly nominations to the National Film Registry and National Recording Registry, as well my yearly lists of my favorite reads, films, and short stories. Once in a blue moon, I may even do an interview. The main theme of my writings, I would say, is the promotion and celebration of spiritual humanism, social democracy, and global art and culture in all their forms.
I have a day job like most folks, so I can't guarantee I'll be frequent with my posts, but I'll try to get at least one blog a month on average.
I will never paywall my site and subscription is free, though I would like to add paid subscription to those who would like to contribute. (Don't worry, it'll be cheap).
I named this place Nautilus Cafe for my love of the submarine of the same name from Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. The name evokes adventure, and I suppose I'd like to go on an adventure of sorts with you all through my writing. I'm far from perfect, and I'm still working hard to improve my craft.
As always, I deeply appreciate anyone who takes the time out of their busy schedules to read my work. Even if you don't much agree with me (which is fine), I am grateful that you still thought me worth your time.
From,
Joseph
